Standardization System
An automatic system for standardization of dry matter in line
The main purpose of standardization is having the same product in solids all over the year for customer satisfaction. For that, the dry matter of each product should be checked at each production.
In view of the fact that yolk solids are worth more than one cent per each percent of solids, it is important that your company is not giving away yolk solids! If a batch of yolk is showing 44 percent instead of the 43 percent expected by your customer, your company is giving away a little over 30¢ per can of yolk. Your daily financial loss on a 44% yolk (instead of the 43% yolk) will be in proportion to the amount of yolk you pack daily; a plant packing 22,680 kilos of yolk per day can expect a loss of about $500.00 daily.
The adjustment of a combination of egg products to a definite composition iscalled standardization.
